Today is a good day as we finally have some sort of news regarding the next installment of the uber-popular Borderlands franchise, which many are assuming will be called Borderlands 3.
Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford had an exchange with Elon Musk regarding Musk’s Boring Company Flamethrower that is driving tons of sales.
Elon – I’m going to add this to our next Borderlands game. Super serious. Let me know if you want to write the flavor text. You may have already done so – we’ll just lift it from one of your tweets.

Musk responded “sure” to Pichford’s request.
Pitchford confirmed that a new Borderlands was in development back in 2016 and fans have eagerly been awaiting any news on the game, which has been tightly under wraps.
This tidbit won’t satisfy diehard Borderlands fans, such as myself, but it’s good to hear something about the next Borderlands game.
