Streaming service mega-brand SoundCloud has been banned on Twitch, marking it’s first ever ban on the Amazon owned streaming platform.
The ban hit on September 23rd, and was reported first by the Twitter account ‘StreamerBans‘ and while no details have surfaced regarding the reason SoundCloud was hit with the ban hammer, fans speculated that Twitch came down on them due to DMCA issues as SoundCloud played music from other artists on their Twitch streams.
However, according to industry insider Rod Breslau, “a representative for Twitch tells me SoundCloud was “issued a temporary ban on Twitch for sexually suggestive content and violations of our nudity policy.”
He added: “hearing there was some risque dancing on stream. Soundcloud is 2 hot for Twitch”
