microsoft

Microsoft will be pulling the plug on Windows Mixed Reality as part of a future operating system update, according to an official announcement.

The new update removal includes the Mixed Reality Portal app, Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR, and Steam VR Beta, and officially marks the end of Mixed Reality which was launched back in 2017 as part of a Windows 10 update.

The Mixed Reality served as a portal/platform for games, apps, and other virtual reality experiences.
