TSM is making it’s mark as one of the premier stream teams in the industry and added to it’s impressive roster of twitch streamers with the signing of chess grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura, according to Polygon.
Chess has been one of the hidden gems on Twitch, and while it may not be on the radar for viewers who tune in for gaming, it’s one of the platform’s fastest growing stream categories over the last several months and has been gaining followers in bunches during the pandemic.
Currently, Nakamura is ranked #1 in the Blitz Top 100 players for the month of August, and ranked fourth in rapid chess, per FIDE rankings.
Nakumara will compete in an international tournament later this year, which will be streamed on his official Twitch channel.
