Sea of Thieves is coming to Xbox One and Windows PC on Tuesday, March 20, but fans are already requesting some special things and developer Rare is obliging.
On Reddit, a request was put forth asking Rare to release a “day one patch”, suggesting that instead of a software update that the game will instead swing for a comedy home run by release a pirate eye patch with the numeral 1 slapped on it.
“Dear Rare, don’t miss the opportunity to release a ‘Day One Patch’ eye-patch with the games Day One Patch,” user Jefabell wrote in a post in February.
Rare is obliging and even tipping their cap to give the Reddit user credit for the idea:
