Epic Games Releases $12M Worth Of Assets In Wake of Paragon Shut Down

Epic Games’s Paragon may be shutting down on April 26th, but the developer is allowing anyone to rob the grave of the once popular game for assets to use for their own use.

$12 million worth of assets, which is what Epic Games estimates the assets cost to develop, is now available for anyone who’s signed on as an Unreal Engine developer to use in their own projects as they see fit.

Naturally, to jump in the looting you’ll need to download Unreal Engine 4 and should birth a ton of games, from the most basic to some that may surprise, in the coming months.

20 characters are up for grabs in the marketplace and Epic says this includes  “base meshes, thousands of textures, VFX and animation cycles, and dialogue with hundreds of sound cues”

Epic plans to release more assets in the near future.
