Twitch Unveils Feature Giving Streamers Access to Access to Cleared Music

Since the DMCA takedown smacked Twitch and impacted millions of twitch channels on the Amazon owned platform, many were wondering just how streamers could incorporate music into their streams.

Twitch has rolled out “Soundtrack by Twitch” which is aimed to give streamers access to Twitch-curated songs that the company actually has the rights to include in broadcasts, and separates music into its own audio channel.

It’s a great way to ensure that VODs aren’t muted or hit with copyright strikes.

Getting Started with Soundtrack by Twitch

  1. Head to Twitch’s Soundtrack page to join the waitlist for its beta.
  2. Sign into your Twitch account.
  3. Select “Join the waitlist”
  4. Choose your Streaming App (OBS, Streamlabs, etc).

From there you just have to wait for a notification from Twitch to see if you have been approved.
