In February, we added a shopping page, where you’ll find many middle eastern items for auction and for sale.

For March, our music page features two great new tracks from Amr Diab’s latest cd, Allem Alby.
After discovering a box of my father’s old 45s, we’re also considering posting some older music. The collection includes late 50s recordings by Fairuz, Fayza Ahmed, Abdel-Halim Hafez, Wadi Al-Safi, Nagat El Saghirah, and more (awaiting translation). Please let us know if there is interest in mp3s of these oldies.

Our recipe collection has grown! We’ve added dozens of wonderful new recipes, including honey-orange and pistachio-filled eid cookies by acclaimed cookbook author Marcy Goldman.

Just like a good recipe collection, a gaming collection can grow as well, and the gaming industry, particularly with esports teams, is now a global phenomenon. With platforms such as Twitch and YouTube, there are now millions of sources of content, from Twitch streams showing off cooking, gaming and everyday life, to navigating through one of the toughest levels or missions of a specific game. Furthermore, the number of female streamers continues to grow as the market becomes a better place for quality, dedicated women streamers. And there is more than that too, with many military streamers and diverse creators such as LGBTQIA streamers and content creators as well.

ÜberStrategist Acquires VirTasktic

Vide game marketing firm ÜberStrategist has officially acquired Raleigh, North Carolina based marketing services provider VirTasktic, which was initially founded in 2011 by CEO Carolyn Crummey.

The company will be absorbed into ÜberStrategist and expand its business operations. Crummey has been named as the chief marketing officer. Additionally, Kimberly Massi, who previously served as VirTasktic’s director of client services, has been appointed to director of operations and Jessica Timms was also promoted to director of public relations services.

“VirTasktic is a passionate and highly creative expert in content and email marketing, services that many of our clients have expressed an interest in,” UberStrategist founder and president Mario R. Kroll said.

“Acquiring their staff and client roster not only bolsters our revenue but adds a tremendous depth of knowledge and operational excellence to our newly combined team.”

It will be interesting to see how the new iteration unfolds, and how the marketing will evolve, especially with video game SEO becoming a more viable component of game marketing strategies moving forward.

Team Tyler1 Defeats Team Yassuo to Win Twitch Rivals League of Legends Championship

Team Tyler1 were officially crowned the Twitch Rivals League of Legends Champions, after defeating  Team Yassuo in the grand finals in the the eight-team bracket of Twitch Rivals League of Legends Draft Showdown Four.

Both teams made the finals after Team Tyler1 defeated Team Lohpally and Team Yassuo shut out Team TFBlade 2-0 in their respective semifinals matchups.

For Honor & Assassin’s Creed Crossover Event Officially Announced

For Honor and Assassin’s Creed have officially announced their epic crossover event, and it kicked off on Thursday, running for three-weeks.

The event, formally titled For the Creed, is a special Dominion mode which will put players in the middle of a fight between the Templars and the Assassin’s Order.
