Blizzard Nerfs Mercy’s Resurrect Ability

The nerf of Overwatch’s Mercy’s resurrect ability has officially gone live.

Blizzard nerfed the ability after weeks of testing on the public test realm.

Before the nerf went into effect, Valkyrie took away resurrect’s cast time, while granting also a bonus resurrect, but now it no longer does either things.

The team explained the reasoning behind their decision to nerf.

“Mercy’s recent Resurrect changes have helped in allowing enemies to have more counter play in dealing with her,” the Overwatch team wrote, “but she was able to use Resurrect through Valkyrie enough to largely mitigate the impact of the previous changes.”
