Venmo has redesigned their Send Money screen with an implementation of a brand new feature: the ability to make charitable donations from within the app as part of two changes to its peer-to-peer payments app.
The other is a redesigned money-sending experience with the mission to make it easier to see how much money you’re sending and who you’re sending to, while also improving the ability to either pay or request multiple payments all at once.
Venmo says that the updates will begin to become available to all Venmo users today across both iOS and Android.
Venmo users can tap on the search bar at the top of the app and select the new option, “Make a donation”, and they can browse the “Find a Charity” page to select a PayPal-confirmed charity and get more information on the cause.
With the increase in charity streams and donation platforms, Venmo is making the smart move to optimize their own approach.
