Google Chrome Introduces Memory and Energy Saver Modes

Google has announced the arrival of wo new performance settings in its Chrome browser: Memory Saver and Energy Saver, with both intended to improve user experience, and optimize utilization.

Energy Saver Mode kicks in when a laptop’s battery level drops below 20%, and limits background activity and visual effects for sites with animations and videos when that comes into play.

Both features are now rolling out with the release of Chrome 108 and will be available globally for Windows, macOS and ChromeOS over the course of the net few weeks.
