Facebook Gaming Event for Mixer Streamers this Weekend

Facebook Gaming is holding a special event this weekend for those streamers who have moved to their platform during, or following, the shutdown of Mixer.

Starting on July 24th and running through July 26th, Facebook Gaming will be highlighting the former Mixer streamers while also giving viewers the chance to get free stars, which is a digital reward that viewers can utilize their favorite Facebook Gaming channels.

Here are the details, via the official Facebook website:

“We are humbled to welcome the Mixer community to Facebook Gaming. Join us during #WelcomeWeekend from July 24th-26th as we celebrate those from the Mixer community who are joining us on Facebook Gaming by:
  • Giving select viewers at random a chance to claim free stars so they can support their favorite streamers
  • Showcasing select Mixer streamers that made the move to Facebook Gaming on fb.gg
  • Promoting select Mixer streamers throughout our Facebook community channels

Furthermore: “Viewers will have a chance to be awarded free stars at random while watching live game streams of all creators that are eligible to receive stars. Free Stars must be used immediately (given to the streamer) and can not be stored. Free Stars are redeemed by the streamer as if they were Paid Stars.”
