Twitch has officially permanently banned former Smash Bros. pro and streamer Gonzalo “ZeRo” Barrios in the wake of the mass allegations of predatory behavior within the community, according to Gamespot.
With the ban, Twitch now joins Facebook Gaming and Tempo Storm in severing ties with Barrios who admitted to sending sexually explicit messages to minors, despite being aware of one of the women’s age, according to ESPN.
ZeRo had not streamed on Twitch since 2019, but is another example of the platform’s attempts to address the slew of allegations of sexual harassment and misconduct that has been flooding in over the past several weeks.
Additionally according to CommanderRoot, ZeRo is no longer a Twitch partner, showing that this suspension may indeed stick for good.
