Twitch has officially banned Super Smash Bros/ play Nairoby “Nairo” Quezada for two months, and his partnership terminated, after he admitted to engaging in a sexual relationship with a fellow competitor who was underage at the time, according to Kotaku.

Kotaku notes that back in July a number of allegations of sexual conduct were brought to light against players, tournament organizers, and commentators.

The allegations included multiple alleged instances of rape, sexual assault, preying on minors, and grooming underage competitors.

The report goes on to say that back on July 2nd, Zack “CaptainZack” Lauth released a statement which detailed a sexual encounter with Quezada when Lauth was 15 and Quezada was 20. Despite initial denials, Quezada eventually admitted to the incident following the release of the statement.

Per the report, Twitch issued the following: “We do not discuss the details of cases to protect the privacy of individuals involved. The safety of our community remains our top priority, and per our guidelines we reserve the right to suspend any account for conduct that we determine to be inappropriate, harmful, or puts our community at risk.”
