Popular streamer Kenny “Blue622” Tancredi passed away on July 4th at the age of 30, according to the Morgan Funeral Home obituary on their website.
Tancredi was a popular figure within the Grand Theft Auto community, and has been credited with making the NoPixel RP server popular, as it attracted some of the most prominent streamers from around the world.
Tancredi was also active within the community of popular streamer Summit1G, and was responsible for getting him involved in playing Grand Theft Auto RP.
“He’s always been a positive dude. He’s always been cool to everyone around him. He was always super nice to everyone in the channel, man. He was so much fun to hang out with,” Summit said, according to DOT Esports. “He brought just as much joy to GTA and more than he did to the 1G community. He’s the reason a lot of people have their jobs today.”
A number of twitch streamers from around the community shared their memories, and offered their condolences, on social media platforms such as Twitter.
A memorial service for Tancredi is scheduled for July 13th.
