Monster Hunter World Adding 16-Player Elder Dragon Hunt

The next limited-time event mission for Monster Hunter World launches tomorrow at 5pm PT and will bring a new Elder Dragon and a 16-player Siege mission type into the fold.

Kulve Taroth is the targer Elder Dragon, and he is a massive force to be reckoned with, demanding that you take him on with a number of allies if you want a chance at being successful.

According to a blog post from Capcom, up to 16 players can meet up in the gathering hub social area beforehand and then split into parties of four “to investigate and hunt down the same Kulve Taroth.”

“As each hunting party collects more tracks and breaks off more parts from attacking Kulve Taroth, they’ll contribute progress to the same Siege,” Capcom explained, adding that Sieges were “designed and balanced for multiplayer.”

When Kulve Taroth’s golden hide is broken off in parts, players can find new weapon relics to utilize in the hopes of generating better weapons.

While Kulve Taroth’s Siege will only be available for a limited time, Capcom stated that “it will return at a later date”, just in case you miss the event.
