Sega Dreamcast didn’t have the long lifespan that developers were hoping for, but the console did make an impression with a few games that are, today, viewed as classics.
One of those classics is making a return.
Sega announced, at the Sega Fes event in Japan, that Shenmue, originally launched in 1999, and Shenmue II, launched in 2001, are coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC later this year.
However, the games will not be remasters, but will come with some improvements.
The collection is being called the “best Shenmue experience to date” and will come with features such as “fully scalable screen resolution, choice of modern or classic control schemes, PC graphics options, an updated user interface, and the option to enjoy either the original Japanese or English voiceovers.”
