Rainbow Six: Siege Getting Update Across All Editions

Rainbow Six is getting a widespread upgrade for all editions, 5 versions that all offer slightly different amounts of content at the start of the game.

Siege’s Year Three starts on March and Standard, Advanced, Gold or Complete will have the Renown cost of the game’s original 20 operators removed completely, making them free for players to use as soon as they start the game, however, the Year 1 and Year 2 DLC characters will still cost Renown.

Additionally, all weapon attachments for every operator in the game will now be free and unlocked for all players.

Players have expressed some anger over how much time they have logged on the game, which you can see here.

“Unfortunately, due to a technical limitation, we will not be able to issue refunds for players that have already acquired these Operators, or attachments” Ubisoft said in an announcement.

Players who purchase the Starter Edition after March 6, will be given six operators at random out of 12, who will be unlocked as soon as the game starts.

This doesn’t seem to extend to those who already purchased the Starter Edition.
