PUBG’s New Map Entitled Sanhok

The next map that is heading to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has an official name and was apparently inspired by ‘fun’ and ‘chicken’.

The new map, called Sanhok (originally known as Codename: Savage), will be returning for testing later this week and “is now only a couple of months away” from being officially released, according to PUBG Corp.

The team then went on, during a post to Steam, to explain the origins of the name Sanhok, explaining the map is based on “islands across southeast Asia,” including Thailand and the Philippines.

Sanhok will be available to play later this week in an open beta test and will be available until Monday, May 14 at 4 a.m. PDT.
