Bungie Outlines Changes To Destiny 2’s Iron Banner

One of Destiny’s most popular features was the month;y Iron Banner event, which was one of the most entertaining features in the original Destiny, but was tweaked in Destiny 2, which became unappealing to some of the game’s most devout players.

Bungie, in it’s quest to undo all the damage it did with the launch of Destiny 2, has announced the following changes to the Iron Banner even that should remind players of why they loved it in Destiny 1.

The Iron Banner this time around will feature the game mode Clash and players will work towards obtaining three different weapons that will be purchase-ready from Lord Saladin.

Additionally,  progress towards challenges for ornaments from the last event will carry over.

Here are some additional changes:

  • Match time limit is 12 minutes
  • Score limit is 125 points
  • Respawn time is 7 seconds
  • All control zones start off neutral
  • Control zones take slightly longer to capture by default
  • Additional Guardians (max of 3) in a zone increases capture speed
  • Guardians participating in a capture get more Super energy

Iron Banner will make it’s return on March 6th and will run through until March 13th.
