Destiny 2: Forsaken is on the horizon and for the first time in a long time, Bungie has a legitimate chance to bring the game back to what it once was, prior to the release of Destiny 2 last September.
Bungie has now updated its roadmap and it confirms that all players will receive a number of features that are coming in the new DLC, a week prior to the release.
Patch 2.0.0, which is also called ‘pre-loading Forsaken’, arrives on August 28th, and will bring the new weapon system that drops the current limitations and also allows players to use most weapons in any of the three slots.
Essentially, this will bring sniper rifles back as secondary weapons and wills also add more diversity to a player’s weapon configuration as they will then have the option of rolling with the same weapon type across all the slots.
September 4, patch 2.0.1 will release a week after that, officially kicking off Year 2.
