Battle Royale Mode for Battlefield 5 Not Being Made by DICE

It appears that the battle royale mode for Battlefield 5 won’t be made by DICE, who confirmed that the mode was in development back at E3 in June of this year, and it will in fact be handled by another, yet to be identified, studio.

“Royale is being made by a different studio, not DICE,” Global community lead for EA’s Star Wars games Ben Walke said (h/t Reddit), which strongly hints that DICE isn’t the one handling the development of a Battle Royal mode for the upcoming title.

Battlefield 5 is scheduled to arrive on October 19th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
