Thunderbird Entertainment Dismisses Proxy Fight with Voss Capital

Producer Thunderbird Entertainment has dismissed a fuming proxy fight with activist investor Voss Capital releasing a statement stating that they believe “this proxy fight is a waste of time, energy and resources”

Thunderbird Entertainment backs a number of projects filming in Vancouver for U.S. studios and streamers.

“Thunderbird believes this proxy fight is a waste of time, energy and resources,” Thunderbird Entertainment CEO Jennifer Twiner McCarron said in an official statement issued on Thursday. The company released it after delaying its annual shareholders meeting from December 6th until early 2023.

Voss Capital issued the following response on November 18th: “This [Hasbro] announcement is just the latest example amongst dozens of Thunderbird’s peers who are properly recognizing and taking advantage of the current industry environment,” they stated.
