The Beatport Group,a portfolio of music companies for DJs and producers, has made a variety of promotions and organizational changes as the company builds momentum heading into the 2023 year.
First is the promotion of Sean Sullivan, who has been named Chief Technology Officer. Sullivan has been with the company since 2018 and most recently served as Senior Vice President of Technology after serving as Vice President of Technology and Director of Infrastructure, per LinkedIn.
Beatport also launched a brand new role, Chief Community Officer, which is set to be filled by Q1 2023 and whomever is appointed will oversee community partnerships, regional business development and corporate communications.
Beatport has officially promoted Helen Sartory to SVP, Creator Services in charge of both the DJ Group (Beatport and Beatsource) and Producer Group (Loopcloud and Plugin Boutique), as eell as Brian Wong to General Manager of the DJ Group and Gareth Halsall as GM of the Producer Group.
Meike Nolte was named Head of the Artist Services team reporting to Sartory, while Heiko Hoffmann will transfer to the Corporate Strategy & Marketing Group to work on the company’s education initiative while also overseeing the editorial site, Beatportal.
Furthermore, the company said that it will be transitioning all employees in its Berlin and Denver offices to “fully remote” work in the first half of 2023, and will be building it’s London and Los Angeles based office locations in the future.
The company says that “these changes resulted in five positions being eliminated in Berlin”.
“While we turn the page on our longstanding offices in Denver and Berlin, we will maintain a meaningful presence in both locations for many years to come,” said CEO Robb McDaniels.
