ESPN has a history of delivering sports content that has, somewhat, been unrivaled over the years, but they also have a history of trying way too hard at being “cool” or “funny”.
From their inexplicable and awkward attempts at humor to their shifting between in-depth sports coverage and a “Hollywood” gossip-style approach to other topics (ie: LaVar Ball, Tim Tebow, etc), ESPN sometimes can make an ass out of itself.
Well, they did it again.
Trying to be cool and ride the wave of popularity surrounding the game Fortnite, ESPN put out a tweet that was trying way, way, WAY, too hard to be cool and fans let them have it.
