DAZN has tabbed their first Chief Revenue Officer naming former Chief Revenue Officer Walker Jacobs as the first global chief revenue officer and president of DAZN US in a big more for the growing sports streaming platform, according to Variety.
Jacobs most recently served as Twitch’s chief revenue officer and managing director of sports for the Amazon Ads division but would exit the company in December 2023 after 5 years working for them.
During his time at Twitch, Jacobs oversaw the livestreaming platform’s global sales and marketing teams and was lead in launching the company’s brand partnership studio and a number of new ad products and formats.
Jacobs also oversaw sales and marketing for Amazon Prime Video’s sports, including their broadcasting of NFL Thursday Night Football.
Jacobs was COO of Fandom prior to his transition to Twitch and also served as EVP and head of Turner Digital at Turner Broadcasting for 6 years. During his time at Turner, Jacobs oversaw sales for their robust portfolio which includes their NBA Digital joint venture with the NBA, NCCA in partnership with CBS Sports, as well as CNN.com, Sports Illustrated, Bleacher Report, PGA.com, PGA Tour, Golf.com, NASCAR.com, TBS, TNT, TruTV, Cartoon Network, Team Coco, Funny Or Die, Adult Swim and a variety of other brands.
