Amazon Music Unlimited Is Reportedly Set To Raise Prices

amazon music

Amazon is reportedly set to raise prices for it’s Amazon Music Unlimited services for non-Prime subscribers located in Japan, with those changes reportedly going into effect on February 21st, according to Tokyo’s AV Watch.

Amazon is reportedly exploring sizeable cutbacks across the company, which will likely mean the company could be planning layoffs.

The report states that non-Prime Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers in Japan will soon have to pay ¥1,680 (currently $13.03, and an increase from the previous price of ¥1,480) per month or ¥16,800/$130.42 (up from ¥14,800/$114.88) annually for the family plan.

While Amazon Music Unlimited saw price hikes in the United States early in 2022, there is a possibility that another price hike could be on the horizon, although nothing has been officially reported at this time.
