Fortnite Playground LTM Ends July 12, Will Be Permanent Mode In Future

Fortnite had some issues when it initially launched the Playground LTM, but now things are running smoothly for the most part, since the mode made it’s return after the initial issues were addressed.

The mode will make it’s exit on July 12th, but it is coming back in the future as a permanent mode for the game.

According to a post in the official Fortnite Twitch Chat Channel (h/t Reddit), “We are working on a version where we can keep Playground as a mode not just a Limited Time Mode.”

Epic Games stated that the next iteration of Playground will allow players to make team selection options, and, additionally:

  • 1v1s and 2v2s
  • Aim assist for controllers
  • Editing other player’s structures
  • Traps affecting teammates/enemies correctly
  • Highlighting teammates on the map
  • Damaging enemies with your pickaxe
