Fortnite Patch v5.41 Arrives, Adds Spiky Stadium, Port-A-Fortress
Fortnite’s latest update, patch v5.41, has officially arrived and it brings with it the addition of port-a-fortress and Spiky Stadium.
Additionally, the legendary Valkyrie outfit, along with a number of other skins, are now available.
Port-a-Fortress (Battle Royale)
This new consumable creates a massive fortress to defend against and repel enemies!
Horde Challenge Week 7 (Save the World)
Many Husks have gathered for this weeks Horde Challenge and this crowd can’t be controlled!
Bowler – Flintlock Launcher (Save the World)
Strike down enemies with the newest weapon in the Flintlock set, spare none!
GENERAL
PERFORMANCE
- CPU optimization for Xbox One (optimized memory copy operations). This is expected to improve performance.
- Optimized file layout on Xbox One to improve streaming performance. This should reduce instances of buildings rendering in late.

BATTLE ROYALE
LIMITED TIME MODE: SOARING SOLOS
Summary
Classic Battle Royale with gliders that can be re-deployed by pressing Jump when falling from large heights.
PLAYGROUND
We’ve introduced a new consumable to the Playground LTM that will allow you to spawn an entire Spiky Stadium. We were inspired by the amazing things you’ve been making within Playground, and cannot wait to see what you create as we continue to build out the future of creative mode in Fortnite.
- Limited Time Item: Spiky Stadium
- Present in Playground only, found in red Supply Drops (along with a ton of impulse grenades).
- Builds a 7×11 sized stadium full of Damage Traps and Bouncers.
WEAPONS + ITEMS
- Port-a-Fortress
- It’s huge!
- Builds instantly.
- Includes built-in Bouncers for an easy exit.
- Legendary Rarity.
- Found in Vending Machines, chests, Supply Drops, and Supply Llamas.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where there was a slight delay when consuming multiple Small Shield Potions.
- The Grappler will no longer result in an inability to change equipment.
GAMEPLAY
- Reduced the edit button hold timing when using a controller.
- Old School from 0.25s to 0.2s.
- Quick Builder from 0.25s to 0.2s.
- Combat Pro from 0.25s to 0.2s.
- Builder Pro from 0.25s to 0.15s.
- The Storm wall no longer destroys structures during the last few circles of the match.
AUDIO
Bug Fixes
- Reload audio for the Double Barrel Shotgun no longer plays twice.
UI
- Unsupported characters within in-game names will now show up as �, rather than the fallback debugging font glyph that was previously used. Loading the fallback font was causing long hitches for clients, so we’ve disabled it.
- Hidden Matchmaking Delay feature has been added to the Options in the Game tab.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue causing the reticle to not appear until after you’ve switched weapons.
- Added new generic icons to represent console and desktop platforms for cross-platform play.
ART + ANIMATION
- Added edge glow to wall bounce pads, only visible from the reverse side. This is to help players recognize when a wall bounce pad is on the opposite side of a ledge in front of them.
Bug Fixes
- CUBE visual effects will no longer get stuck after a player has left the area.
- The Grill Sergeant Outfit will now render properly in-game.
- This fixes the issue where players were seeing a floating head and pickaxe.
SAVE THE WORLD
MISSIONS + SYSTEMS
- Weekly Horde Challenge 7
- This week, deploy your fort against hordes of enemies who are immune to crowd control effects. Stuns, knockbacks and slowing fields won’t help you this time!
- Earn 1500 Gold for the first-time completion.
- This challenge is repeatable for Event Tickets.
- Available Wednesday, September 19th at 8 PM ET.

- Fixed an issue preventing players from being able to complete Storm Shield Defense side missions.

PUBG Mobile Surpasses $9 Billion in Lifetime Revenue

PUBG Mobile has reached $9 billion in global lifetime revenue and has notched 1.1 billion installs worldwide across the App Store and Google Play, according to data from Sensor Tower.
The mobile version of PUBG experienced 104.4 million installs globally between January and September 2022, which represents a 27% decline year-over-year from the same period in 2021, additionally, PUBG Mobile made $1.6 billion between January and September of this year, also a 27% decrease from the $2.2 million generated from Q1 to Q3 last year.
Looking at another popular title, MiHoYo’s RPG Genshin Impact, they generated $1.4 billion in consumer spending between Q1 and Q3 2022. The game celebrated it’s second anniversary in style, hitting $3.7 million in lifetime revenue around the time, according to Sensor Tower.
MiHoYo’s RPG has amassed 126.4 million installs on mobile to this date.

Tencent Facing Allegations of Infringing on Mobile Legends: Bang Bang

Tencent will appear in court on this Tuesday to face allegations of copyright infringement in China, filed by Shanghai-based studio Moonton Technology, according to the South China Morning Post.
Per the report, Tencent is accused of infringing on the rights of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, one of the biggest mobile titles in Southeast Asia and faces allegations that include rights to authorship, reproduction and communications regarding the game.

Ubisoft’s Hungry Shark Reaches 1 Billion Downloads

Ubisoft is celebrating the long-standing success of it’s most downloaded mobile series ‘Hungry Shark’, which initially launched back in 2010 and has since surpassed over 1 billion downloads, an impressive feat.
Ubisoft has confirmed, via a release, that the Hungry Shark franchise has hit one billion downloads globally across mobile platforms, making it Ubisoft’s most-downloaded mobile franchise.
“We’re really proud to reach this incredible milestone and I’d like to thank the teams involved for their hard work as we look ahead to some exciting announcements in early 2023 on the future direction of the studio and to share more on Hungry Shark brand” Ian Harper, Managing Director of Ubisoft Future Games of London said in an official press release.
