Popular twitch streamer xQc is willing to pay big money in order to avoid a ban on Twitch for playing music as Twitch seems to be cracking down on DMCA strikes, even on their most successful streamers.
xQc has played The Killers’ ‘Enterlude and Exitlude’ at the end of his streams, but he says he is looking to get in touch with the band about their song, willing to pay in order to use it.
“Also I have to tweet at The Killers about their song, if I can listen to it for outro [music],” xQc said (h/t Dexerto). “Otherwise I’ll buy the license or whatever. Chat how much do you think it is for me to buy the license for me to listen to the song for outro. $25k? Well, I’ll buy it regardless because I think it’s part of the stream identity and whatever the price is, I don’t wanna lose that.”
