Twitch Reportedly to Provide Better Chat Control for Streamers

Twitch has been in damage control in the midst of the run of hate raids that have dominated headlines over the course of the last few months, and now they are reportedly working on improving the control that streamers have over their chat.

According to reporter Zach Bussey, Twitch is working on giving streamers and creators more control of who can participate in the chat during their live twitch streams. These controls will allow streamers to control who can chat based on email and/or phone verification.

Additionally, the new features will include a lot of customization and situational restrictions, and exemptions can be provided for Subscribers, VIPs, and channel Mods as well.
