Twitch has apparently started to automatically run advertisements in the midst of twitch streams for a number of viewers, according to The Verge.
According to the report, the ads will run across Twitch affiliate and Twitch Partner channels, and content creators are going to be paid for each advertisement that does run. Additionally, picture-in-picture viewing is enabled for all channels, which will limit the amount of intrusiveness the ads have on a live stream.
However, if you are subscribed to the twitch channels running the ads, you will not see the ads, and the same goes for those who subscribe to Twitch using Turbo.
