With more and more twitch streamers complaining about the platform’s over-reaching splits, there are brands now introducing some alternatives.
One of those is Streamlabs, the widely used livestreaming software owned by Logitech, who is rolling out a “monthly tipping service” that will serve as an alternative way for streamers to monetize their twitch streams moving forward, according to The Verge.
“We’ve just introduced a new monthly tipping service that will help streamers earn consistent monthly income” Streamlabs explained on their official website. “That means that now as a viewer, you can set up recurring tips for your favorite creator and trigger the alert whenever you want.”
Creators will also be happy to learn that Streamlabs is not taking a cut from payments.
“In terms of payments, the money is transferred directly from you to the creator’s PayPal account. We’ll never take a cut, and we’ll never hold on to your money.”
