Popular twitch streamer Amouranth announced that she was banned across a number of social platforms, including Amazon’s live-streaming platform Twitch which marks her fifth Twitch ban since 2019.
Amouranth confirmed the bans in a YouTube video, adding that she had also been banned on Instagram and TikTok, although no specific reason was given to explain why she had been hit with the ban.
“I don’t know if I’ll get Instagram back, and I’m trying to see why I even got banned on Twitch. I’m a little confused.”
There has been some speculation that due to the adult nature of some of her content, platforms such as TikTok, which has been cracking down on creators who have links to adult content in their bios, have issued bans.
TikTok stated their stance to Rolling Stone – “we do not allow content that commits, promotes, or glorifies sexual solicitation or allow accounts that attempt to redirect traffic”.
It will be interesting to see how this impacts any influencer marketing campaigns she is associated with.
