Method Names Joel Holmes-Darby General Manager

British esports organization Method has officially announced Joel Holmes-Darby as their new General Manager.

Holmes-Darby, who is the co-founder of EXCEL Esports, will be working with Method’s World of Warcraft division as well as future operations to “help enable the organization to achieve its rebuild objective and bring on incredible talent.”

Holmes-Darby announced his departure from EXCEL back in September 2020, a company he co-founded with his brother.

“I have spent a lot of time thinking about Method’s rebuild recently and wanted to share those thoughts with you” Scott McMillan, Founder and CEO of Method posted on Twitter.

“I am more committed than ever to rebuilding Method into an org the community can be proud of.”

“I wanted a new challenge and Method’s rebuild was the perfect fit” Holmes-Darby said. “They have learned from their mistakes, and in doing so have paved the way for an improved version of the organization that can thrive in 2021 and beyond.

“My experience in the industry thus far has given me a very unique perspective and a strong operational skillset, which I intend to bring to this new role to help enable the organization to achieve its rebuild objectives.”
