ESPN Esports and esports and gaming platform eFuse are teaming up for Women of the eRena, which is a $10,000 Call of Duty: Warzone event that will feature 32 women competing in a four-part series that kicks off on Thursday, according to ESPN.
The quads tournament will be composed of eight teams of female streamers and celebrities, such as U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team and OL Reign midfielder Allie Long, Aerial Powers of the WNBA’s Washington Mystics, esports hosts and streamers Erin Ashley Simon and Katie Bedford; and popular community personalities including AnneMunition, G2 Esports content creator Athena, Cloud9 streamer C9EmZ and former OpTic Gaming streamer and current Minnesota RØKKR director of content Ashley “MiDNiteMN” Glassel.
“EFuse is ecstatic to help launch this amazing four-part series,” eFuse CEO Matthew Benson said in a statement. “We believe there are many amazing women in this industry, and it’s important to showcase their talent and contributions. The event scheduled for this Thursday, and all of the others to come, will have a direct focus on showcasing these incredibly strong and impactful women.”
