Team17 Cutting Jobs to Restructure Business Operations

Independent video game label Team17 will be laying off staff, who were informed during a recent meeting that redundancies were coming as the firm was moving to restructure its business operations, according to Eurogamer.

According to the company (via GamesIndustry.biz), “Team17 gameshas initiated a re-alignment of elements within its studio operating business model in order to better meet the needs of our development partners and growth of our owned IP.

“This could result in a small number of redundancies; however, we have a number of roles open across the group and will be encouraging and supporting any colleagues that wish to apply.”

This continues a trend of layoffs within the tech industry that has taken place over the last several months and doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon.
