Amber has announced the acquisition of Columbian developer Madbricks, which is based in Bogota and employs around 40 people and comes as part of Amber’s strategy to expand globally by “integrating” external studios, according to an official announcement.
“We were impressed by the dedication and professionalism of the Madbricks team during our past collaboration, so this acquisition is a natural next step in our relationship” Amber CEO Mihai Pohonțu said in the official statement. “Emerging markets are part of our DNA, and Madbricks will solidify our presence in the South American games industry landscape.”
Madbricks specializes in co-development, having already collaborated with Amber in the past, and has already worked with the likes of Voodoo, ByteDance, and Maximum Games on a variety of projects.
